Why Mninga outlives the coast

Mninga is the densest timber we work with. On an island where salt air eats through soft wood in a few seasons, density is not a luxury, it is the difference between furniture that lasts five years and furniture that lasts fifty.

Seasoning for salt air

Every board rests in our Saateni workshop for months before it is cut. We air dry slowly so the grain settles, then finish with penetrating oil rather than lacquer so the wood can still breathe.
